Christmas

Away in a Manger
the little child lays
Unknown is his burdens
of man's sins he must pay

Cuddled with
Mary's arms of sweet love
Is Man's own true Saviour
our blessing from above

So when you all open
those presents Christmas Day
Remember the child
in his manger where he lay

Remember the Wise men
and the gifts they bestowed
Remember the Shepherds
and the field here below

For Christmas without Christ
would leave Santa unknown
So share his great love
with all in your home

Shazdraco

My daughter it seems
That all of your dreams
Are in Dragons and Knights
You meditate with candles
With Spirits and Sprites
Your reality is in literature
In family and sites
You spend all your mornings
With serious tasks
You type on the keyboard
Your most intimate thoughts
In rhyme and in rhythm
That only a poet would know
The delicate words, that to you
Are easy to flow
You were always my dream
My hope and my princess
My desires for you
Were filled with ambition
To do well and achieve
All that your heart desired
I waited so long for you
To be here with me
So there was only love
When your eyes did I see
Your a grown women now
With family of your own
So this poem, is just to say
How proud I am of you
Forever and a day

Peter, Peter

Peter, Peter, Pumpkin eater
Was the rhyme I recited to you
While cradled in my arms of love
Contented in the world you knew

But as you grew and times did change
Your family drifted apart
Instead of your safe and happy home
It was replaced by anger, hurt and shame

Yet, you survived all those troubled years
And grew up as quite a gentle man
With kindness, and love and compassion
You shared with all you know

You were always my knight in shining armour
My saviour, my rock, my friend
You were always there when I needed someone
To dispel my fears, my worries and my tears

Well, my son, I hope you will be happy
And find someone who will love you dear
But always, forever remember
How much you mother, loves you too

Grandkids

My three little Angels in devil costumes
My reason for being on this Earth, I presume
With them my whole reason will be carried right through
To the end of this century and beyond eternity too

Aaron, my first, although I missed your first year
Will always be my man and Nanny's best mate
With all of his questions and kindness so dear
I only wish I knew, what your future ensured

Emma, my second, and just like her Mum
With temper to match, but really quite fun
She is the most enlightened, I'm sure you'll agree
With her I have no worries, of all of the three

Finally, there's Vanessa, a strange one at that
Her psychic abilities are a worry to me
What future is installed, for a child who knows fact
But her Mother will train her, I'm sure that will be

So there are my angels in devil costumes
Full of mischief and childish pursuits
They are my future, my legacy, all of my dreams
Let's hope there is a world for these three to see
